Prague Educational Trip 2026
On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, members of the association travelled to Prague, where they visited two prominent institutions as part of an educational trip.
We welcomed the new members of the Students’ Section at a social event for newcomers. The participants were treated to a packed programme in the centre of Brno, including a musical performance.
To make sure that new members of our association feel at home, we organized a proper get-together for them at the end of the first month of the new academic year. The event began in the famous Lužánky Park in Brno, where the new members got to know each other and the Students’ Section committee through a relaxed version of speed dating. The participants were divided into several smaller groups and spent three minutes talking about a given topic. Once the time was up, the groups were mixed and the process continued. In this way, everyone got to know each other within about half an hour — and, what is more, they discovered who shared similar interests.
After the introductory warm-up, it was time for an urban challenge game through the centre of Brno, which tested the newcomers’ ability to cooperate, think creatively and navigate using a map. This was followed by a ceremonial oath and a move to Pod Studnou, where the informal part of the evening began.
As is customary in pubs, there was beer, wine, soft drinks, and plenty of conversation. To top it all off, some of our more experienced members played the guitar and sang for us. From our perspective, the whole event was a great success: the newcomers got to know both the committee and each other, and took their first steps towards new friendships and career opportunities.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has spoken of the possibility of reopening the question of a campaign to rejoin the EU. He made these remarks at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool. In his address, he further stated that he would like to set out a new path for UK–EU relations and develop this theme ahead of the next general election in 2029.
