The first joint event for returning members, new members, and those interested in joining began, as is tradition, with a presentation in which members of the committee introduced the individual departments of the Student Section. We got an overview of the familiar plans for film nights, roundtable discussions, and social events, as well as some new projects that are currently in the works. We can already reveal, however, that this academic year will once again feature our traditional event in support of Ukraine. We’ll be keeping the remaining projects under wraps for now.
After the presentation came the traditional social, the first half of which focused mainly on making new connections and having informal conversations with the heads of the Student Section’s individual departments. New members and those interested in joining had the opportunity to ask all kinds of questions about how the section operates and how they could get involved. At the same time, they could get to know one another and take the first step towards friendships that may last for many years to come.
After the more formal part of the social, we moved into the world of electronic music and, under the guidance of the Student Section’s resident DJ, wrapped up our first members’ meeting of the year on the dance floor.
